    The Ames Historic Preservation Commission is seeking nominations for the 2017 Preservation Awards Program. This program recognizes a variety of historic preservation activities, including work on building exteriors, site work, and other notable contributions to preservation in Ames.

  • Forums Scheduled to Educate Public on Community Development Block Grant Funding

    The City of Ames will host two public forums to educate the public on the status and the future of the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and to gather public feedback for its 2017-2018 Annual Action Plan projects.

  • Christmas Tree Recycling Offered

    The City of Ames will provide free disposal of Christmas trees at the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Building, 700 E. 13th St. Residents may drop off the trees during daylight hours now through the end of January.
