  • Union Pacific to Close Crossings for Repairs

    Union Pacific Railroad will be closing several Ames railroad crossings this week as crews move through the city replacing wooden ties and making track improvements. Railroad intersections affected include North Dakota Avenue, Scholl Road, Hazel Avenue, Clark Avenue, and Kellogg Avenue.

  • Section of Melrose Avenue to Close for Paving

    A section of Melrose Avenue, from 24th Street to Hunziker Drive, will close for reconstruction beginning on Monday, May 2. The work is anticipated to last up to one week.

  • Seventeenth Street to Close for Street Repairs

    Access to 17th Street will be limited to residents only beginning Monday, May 2, as work continues on curb and gutter repair. There will be no parking allowed on the street or access to driveways.
